BIOGRAPHY
Andrea Jones is a singer/songwriter/actress from Sacramento, CA currently living in Los Angeles, CA. Her sultry, yet powerful voice and breathy deep tones filled with emotion make her song delivery one of a kind. She has performed on the 90th Academy Awards with Mary J. Blige on "MIGHTY RIVER" and with John Legend&Common on "GLORY" during the 87th Academy Awards/Oscars. Her original songs "Love of My LIfe," "Back to Me" and "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" have also been featured in the films, "The Lost Souls Cafe", "The Divorce" and "24 Hour Love" by Don B. Welch, respectively. Most recently, Andrea won "Best Original Song" at Cannes World Film Festival for her latest single, "Through A Child's Eyes".
Andrea is no stranger to musical theatre. She has starred in numerous Don B. Welch's Hit Gospel stage plays including, :"Meet Me In the Prayer Room", "The Soul Cafe," "Heavenbound", "Let the Church Roll On", "The First Lady of Zion" alongside veteran actors and/or singers such as the legendary Marla Gibbs, Loretta Devine, Vanessa Bell-Calloway, Kelly Price, Kenny Lattimore, Ernest L. Thomas, and Ledisi,
TV appearances include singing with Darlene Love on Fox's "New Girl" and "The Crazy Ones" starring the late great comedian, Robin Williams. Andrea has also appeared in a Hewlett Packard commercial, on the soap opera, The Young and the Restless, The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno (background vocalist w/Josh Groban) and Ellen (w/Tribe of Judah and background vocalist for Josh Groban). As a solo artist, she has been an opening act for Frank McComb, Rahsaan Patterson and PJ Morton.
